Invitation

The USAGE-NG Final Conference marks the conclusion of a three-year Erasmus+ cooperation dedicated to advancing smart and sustainable agriculture education. Coordinated by the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (BOKU), together with the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano (UNIBZ) and the Technical University of Munich (TUM), the project has developed micro-credential-based learning modules and mobile learning frameworks to equip students and lifelong learners with the digital and green skills needed for resilient farming systems.

Building on the partners’ expertise in agricultural engineering, lifelong learning, and digital transformation, USAGE-NG has designed innovative teaching approaches that integrate sustainability, technology, and mobility. The resulting modules and tools align with the European Qualifications Framework (EQF) and the European Green Deal, promoting digital inclusion and climate-smart innovation across the agri-food sector.

The conference presents the project’s key outcomes, educational tools, and lessons learned, featuring contributions from Prof. Fabrizio Mazzetto (UNIBZ) and Prof. Heinz Bernhardt (TUM). Discussions will highlight pilot courses in smart farming, IoT-enabled teaching, and mobile didactics.
